Learn More About Becoming a Child Advocate – East Valley

Thursday, 23rd March, 2017
Starts: 5:00 p.m. - Ends: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Mesa Public Library, 64 E 1st St, Mesa, AZ 85201

Join Voices for CASA Children at our upcoming spring information session in the East Valley to learn more about becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Together, we have an aggressive goal for 2017 — to recruit at least 600 new CASA volunteers to provide a Voice for abused and neglected children in Arizona state dependency. Working in tandem with CASA of Maricopa County, we will accomplish this!

The number of children in care continues to rise, putting further burden on the Arizona child welfare system and creating an even greater need for volunteer advocates. Children with a CASA volunteer are more likely to receive services, spend less time in the child welfare system and are less likely to return to foster care.

For many vulnerable children, their CASA volunteer is the only constant during a frightening, uncertain time. An advocate can make an immediate and critical impact on a lost and voiceless child’s life. You can’t change a child’s past, but you can change a child’s future.

At this information session, you’ll be able to get all your questions answered by program staff and meet current CASA volunteers. Complimentary parking will be available.
