Every child living in foster care deserves someone who will listen, show up, and advocate for their best interests. When you become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), you step into one of the most meaningful volunteer roles available, becoming a steady, trusted voice for a child who has experienced abuse or neglect.
Children living in foster care often face uncertainty, instability, and circumstances beyond their control. A CASA volunteer helps provide consistency and support. By taking the time to get to know a child, speaking with the people in their life, and making informed recommendations in court, you help ensure children are not navigating the foster care system alone.

Tax and credit deductions
In Arizona, the Department of Revenue has certified certain nonprofits that serve children living in foster care as QFCO. Tax payers can claim QFCO tax credits. Donations to a QFCO are eligible for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit (not just a deduction).
